This position is physical and fast-paced, requiring safe lifting practices and keen attention to detail. Your Day at Lowe'sIn this role, you'll keep shelves stocked and the backroom organized by unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Customer assistance with locating or loading products may also be part of your day. Since most shifts are physically active, scheduling may include mornings, evenings, or overnight hours based on store needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during their projects.
- Stock merchandise by unloading freight, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
- Support store operations by verifying deliveries, preparing the dock, and using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following proper procedures for hazardous materials and equipment use.
- Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and additional tools as required.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to complete other assigned tasks.
- Using the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- Loading delivery orders with a focus on quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- Rotating orders by delivery date and resolving customer order issues proactively.
- Communicating with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
- Implementing Delivery Readiness best practices.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience for those without formal education.
- 3 months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment like lifts, order pickers, or similar machinery.
- 6 months of experience in a warehouse handling inventory and stocking.

Travel RequirementsThis role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be necessary for meetings, training, or supporting nearby stores.
Working ConditionsWorking conditions may vary by location, including both indoor and outdoor environments. You may encounter varying weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, and exposure to noise and moving equipment. Lifting methods will vary based on the weight and volume of items, with guidelines limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and emphasizing team lifts when necessary. Powered equipment should be utilized appropriately with proper training or the assistance of a trained colleague.
