Overview

Village Veterinary Clinic is a partner with Encore Vet Group. We’re not just a veterinary hospital—we’re a place where every pet is loved like family, and every team member plays a vital role in making that happen. We’re looking for a Full-Time or Part-Time Kennel Attendant to join our team and help provide a clean, safe, and happy environment for the pets in our care.

This is a hands-on, entry-level role that is essential to the daily care of our patients and boarded pets. If you’re comfortable working around animals of all sizes and don’t mind getting a little messy, we’d like to hear from you.

This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone considering a career in veterinary medicine or animal care. The work can be fast-paced and physical, but it’s also rewarding. You’ll play an important role in keeping our patients safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Why You’ll Love Us
  • Team First Culture
    - We value every team member like gold, creating a supportive and caring environment.
  • Cutting-Edge Care with Heart
    - Our full-service hospital offers advanced medicine and services with genuine compassion.
  • Growth & Teamwork Culture
    - We believe in teamwork, learning, and leveling up together.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Feed, water, and monitor dogs, cats, and other small animals
  • Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and common areas
  • Walk dogs and provide safe exercise and enrichment
  • Monitor animals for signs of stress, illness, or injury and report concerns to veterinary staff
  • Assist veterinary technicians and doctors when needed
  • Wash bedding, dishes, and maintain a clean, organized facility
  • Greet pet owners in a friendly, professional manner when required
What We’re Looking For
  • A genuine interest in animal care and welfare
  • Comfortable handling animals safely and calmly
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends & holidays if scheduled
  • Good attention to detail and strong cleaning standards
  • Previous experience in animal care is helpful but not required. We’re happy to train the right person.
What You’ll Gain
  • Experience working in a veterinary setting
  • The opportunity to learn basic animal care and handling skills
  • A supportive team environment
  • Employee pet care discounts (if applicable)
Perks & Benefits
  • Competitive pay, based on experience
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Free virtual mental health support
  • Generous CE allowance + paid CE time
  • Uniform allowance
  • Pet care discounts for your personal pets
  • PTO, floating holidays, parental leave, and military leave
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Access to training, CE, and career development resources
  • 401(k) with company match
