Sales Manager

Northeast Ohio | Full-Time | Sales Leadership Role

Mars Electric is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to drive profitable revenue growth, develop a high-performing sales team, and strengthen customer relationships across our markets. This role is responsible for executing growth strategies, developing talent, improving sales performance, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

• Develop and execute sales strategies that drive profitable growth.
• Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and target accounts.
• Expand relationships with existing customers while developing new business.
• Establish sales goals and hold the team accountable to results.
• Monitor key sales metrics and implement action plans to improve performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop inside and outside sales team members.
• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular sales reviews, performance discussions, and development planning.
• Support strategic customer meetings and key account growth initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with customers and industry partners.
• Develop strategies to increase market share and customer retention.
• Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and market conditions.
• Support pricing strategies that balance competitiveness and profitability.
• Review sales performance, margins, and customer profitability.
• Partner with leadership to drive profitable growth opportunities.
• Ensure consistent sales processes and disciplined execution.

• Partner with Purchasing, Operations, and Branch Leadership to support customer needs.
• Improve communication and coordination across departments.
• Support inventory, project management, and fulfillment initiatives.
• Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and service levels.

• 5+ years of sales experience, preferably within electrical distribution, industrial distribution, construction, or a related industry.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth and developing customer relationships.
• Leadership experience managing, coaching, or influencing sales teams.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of sales performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
• Proficiency with CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office applications.
