Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Physical Design Engineer to join our team in Maynard, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing mechanical components for desktops, servers, or networking switches, along with proven expertise in product development from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for desktops, servers, and networking systems.
• Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Perform tolerance analysis to ensure proper fit and manufacturability.
• Support prototyping, testing, and design validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Work with suppliers to support production and tooling.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Good experience in mechanical/physical design
• Proficiency in CAD tools (Solid Works, Creo, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
• Experience with mechanical components such as enclosures, chassis, brackets, and thermal solutions.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, plastics, die-casting, machining).
