The Associate Application Engineer will perform one or more of the following tasks related to Acacia's world-class optical products as a member of the Acacia department responsible for direct customer relationships. The individual will be assigned relevant work assignments to challenge them according to their current level of experience and capability.
- Recreate real-world application environments in our optical lab to evaluate and verify customer issues
- Develop creative workaround solutions to product limitations or bugs
- Work with customers to help integrate Acacia's products into their systems and networks
- Work with the world's leading systems and service providers to help build the networks of today and help define the networks of the future
- Collaborate with team members to develop Python scripts that enable and manage system features
- Address a broad range of technical disciplines, including electrical, optical, embedded SW, mechanical, and thermal.
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in electronic or electrical engineering or related field
- Completed courses in Signals and Systems, Electronic Design and a Basic Programming Course
- Knowledge of Python programming
- Basic Analog Electrical engineering skills
- Experience with electronic and/or optical system design
- Coursework in optics or DSP
