Meet the Team

Acacia, now part of Cisco, provides innovative silicon-based high‑speed optical interconnect products to accelerate network scalability through advancements in performance, capacity, and cost. Our DSP ASICs, silicon photonic PICs and coherent modules empower cloud and service providers to meet the fast‑growing demand for data. We have assembled a team of cross‑functional experts capable of solving the challenges of next‑generation optical interconnects, resulting in industry‑leading, award‑winning products.

• Recreate real‑world application environments in our optical lab to evaluate and verify customer issues
• Develop creative workaround solutions to product limitations or bugs
• Work with customers to help integrate Acacia’s products into their systems and networks
• Collaborate with team members to develop Python scripts that enable and manage system features
• Address a broad range of technical disciplines, including electrical, optical, embedded SW, mechanical, and thermal.

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program in electronic or electrical engineering or related field
• Completed courses in Signals and Systems, Electronic Design, and a Basic Programming Course
• Knowledge of Python programming
• Basic analog electrical engineering skills
• Experience with electronic and/or optical system design

• Coursework in optics or DSP
