Civil Project Engineer, Municipal Infrastructure

We are now seeking a skilled Municipal Infrastructure Civil Project Engineer to oversee and manage the design and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic design and civil engineering, particularly within water and wastewater systems, and will be responsible for ensuring projects meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct hydraulic design and analysis for water and wastewater systems.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to develop and modify infrastructure project plans and designs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure the successful execution of municipal construction projects, closely watching all QA/QC constraints.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design and project decisions.
  • Monitor project progress, quality control, and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Design and optimize water distribution and collection systems, including pump stations and treatment facilities.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in hydraulic design, engineering calculations and civil engineering/municipal infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
  • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater systems (distribution, collection, treatment).
  • Experience as a Project Engineer in municipal construction/engineering is a plus.
  • Familiarity with local and state codes, maintaining compliance and infrastructure regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including schedule and budget management.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills.
