Job Summary

Maysville Community and Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for adjunct positions in Civil Engineering Technology, with a focus on Surveying and Mapping, at any of its campus locations. This position may include supporting and/or leading field-based instruction associated with surveying courses and labs. Responsibilities include assisting with hands‑on field exercises, operating and maintaining surveying equipment, and supporting student learning in both classroom and outdoor environments.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience in civil engineering technology, surveying, or a related field. Assignments may include on-campus, in‑person instruction and field/lab‑based activities, with the potential for online instruction as needed. This is not a remote position.

Job Duties
  • Plan and support instructional activities, including field‑based surveying labs and exercises
  • Assist students with hands‑on learning using surveying equipment and technology
  • Assess student learning outcomes and maintain accurate records of student progress
  • Maintain, calibrate, and perform minor repairs on surveying and training equipment
  • Ensure safe practices during fieldwork and lab activities
  • Stay current with industry practices and incorporate relevant updates into instruction
Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in the discipline or related field with 2 years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in Civil Engineering

Additional Skills Requested

High attention to detail, independent, self‑motivated, adaptable to fast‑paced environments. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).
