Meadowview Regional Medical Center is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) you’ll be part of a vital mission to improve community health and provide exceptional care to critically ill adults.

The ICU is a 6‑bed unit that delivers direct patient care to critically ill adult patients using the nursing process and adhering to applicable scope and standards of practice.

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate learning needs of patients and families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
• Float to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse‑to‑patient ratios.
• Manage ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and vaporisers.
• Titrate and maintain critical drips, including knowledge of indications, contraindications, and side effects.
• Pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire.

• Current Kentucky or compact state RN license.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within one month of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within one year of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of hire.
  • Handle with Care required within 30 days of orientation.
