Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) – Women’s Services. Job Type: PRN.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) joining our team, you contribute to a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. You will provide care in the Women’s Health Department, which includes Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Women’s Health Surgical Services, and the Newborn Nursery. The department delivers direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and in alignment with the organization’s policies, values, and mission.
Responsibilities- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care as appropriate.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families as appropriate.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge planning, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Education:
Associate’s degree required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within one month of hire;
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire;
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire. - License:
Registered Nurse licensed to work in the state of Kentucky.
