Role Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Medical Care (IMC)

Job Type: Full Time | Days

Schedule:

3x12, Nights (7a–7p) | Sign On Bonus:
Based on Eligibility

Responsibilities
  • Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Document patient care provided.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living—personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
  • Float to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse‑to‑patient ratios.
  • Manage ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and vapotherm devices.
  • Titrate and maintain critical drips on ICU patients, including knowledge of indications, contraindications, and side effects.
  • Pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire/transfer.
Qualifications & Licensure
  • Valid Kentucky or compact state RN license.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire.
