Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Clinic (Wound Care) – Full Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Location:
Maysville, Kentucky.
The LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in wound management within a multidisciplinary team. The role is supervised by an RN or physician and involves documentation, medication administration, and patient advocacy.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care in accordance with scope of practice.
- Assist with assessment, data collection, and formulation of a plan of care.
- Perform wound care procedures and specimen collection.
- Administer medications as directed.
- Document all nursing activities.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, nutrition, ambulation).
- Monitor and communicate patient status to RN, physician, patient, and families.
- Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well‑being.
- Schedule appointments and procedures; obtain insurance re‑authorizations.
- Current Kentucky (or compact state) LPN license.
- Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within one month of hire.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Critical‑thinking skills and decisive judgment; ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to work in a stressful environment.
