Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy – PRN

Experienced Registered Nurses are invited to join the Endoscopy Unit at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. In this PRN role, you will provide safe, efficient and compassionate care in a dynamic, two‑suite endoscopy environment.

The unit is staffed by two experienced gastroenterologists and performs an average of 15 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per day, focusing on patient safety and quality care.

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other medical care.
• Documents patient care.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

• Licenses: Current Kentucky or applicable compact state RN license.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Education: Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school required;
  Bachelor's degree preferred.
