Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Clinic – PRN
Responsibilities- Provide prompt communication and collaborate with patients' physicians.
- Work under a Nurse Practitioner or physician, providing direct patient care in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
- Assist in the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN or physician.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
- May administer medication.
- Document patient care given.
- Assist RN or physician with development of plan of care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
- Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
- Obtain insurance re‑authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.
- Current Kentucky or compact state LPN license.
- Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within one month of hire.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
