Job Summary:

We are looking for a Purchasing Representative who wants to become an invaluable asset to our organization. This individual will be communicating with vendors, purchasing raw materials per specifications, using a computer and different types of software to log and create documentation, working closely with other departments and management, etc.

• Vendor communication by phone and email
• Negotiating pricing when purchasing materials
• Requesting vendor quotes
• Creating purchase orders
• Preparing documents for management and production
• Answering incoming calls
• Logging material and orders
• Keeping a positive and open mindset
• Helping the organization advance by working close with management
• Working well with others in the organization
• Sustaining open and effective communication
• Having accountability and integrity
• Developing ownership of your position within the organization

• Have some experience in Purchasing/Procurement or other office positions
• Must be able to use mathematics effectively and efficiently (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, etc.)
• willing to negotiate with vendors and follow up accordingly
• Must be organized and systematic
• Must be technologically inclined to use a computer, Microsoft products, software, printers/copier, and scanners effectively
