Loyola University Medical Center, Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, and Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital invite applications for a full-time faculty position for a Board Certified Neuro-Ophthalmologist on the Clinical Educator Track (CET) located in Maywood, Illinois.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong interest and prior commitment to clinical and/or basic science research. Candidates must have a history of outstanding clinical care and a strong academic commitment to training residents and medical students. Board Certification, Fellowship training, and eligibility for Illinois licensure are required.
The Department of Ophthalmology currently comprises 23 full-time and 20 part-time clinicians managing over 65,000 patient visits annually across Loyola's Maywood campus and satellite offices, as well as HVA sites. The department includes five dedicated research scientists (two PhD, two MD, and one OD/Pharm
D). The residency program trains four residents per year, managed by a team including the Program Director, Vice Chair of Education, and Chief Resident. Loyola's Department of Ophthalmology will participate in a planned Neuroscience Institute alongside Neurology, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, and Psychiatry departments. The main research facility, the 225,000 sq ft Center for Translational Research and Education (CTRE), opened in 2015 and houses the Clinical Research Office and research administration.

RECRUITMENT PACKAGE
- Competitive starting salary between $159,000 and $985,945
