About The JobIn this role, the Mammo Technologist will perform mammography to assist physicians in the diagnosis and/or treatment of medical disorders. The position includes related clerical and service duties. Provides screening and diagnostic breast exams and breast procedures, including ultrasound-guided and stereotactic biopsies, needle localization, and clip placement.
What You'll Do- Assess plans, provide intervention, and evaluate care for each patient based on protocol to minimize radiation exposure.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for radiographic procedures and perform daily tasks to ensure patient safety. Maintain current licensure and educational points to expand job knowledge.
- Perform QA testing as required by ACR and MQSA; maintain communication with radiology personnel, patients, and Medical Center staff to ensure cooperation.
- Produce high-quality images with a rejection rate under 10% and adhere to six-point film critique and procedures protocols; complete images within appropriate time frames.
- Correctly identify films with patient identification and proper markers.
- Associate's degree or equivalent training (via work experience or education)
- Specific Degrees:
Mammography, Radiologic Technology - 1-2 years of previous relevant experience
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- CPR (American Heart Association)
- Registered Radiographic Technologist
- Registered Radiographic Technologist (Mammography)
- Maintain at least 15 Category 1 CEU hours in direct mammography continuing education within a 36-month period
- Perform up to 200 exams within a 24-month period; 40 hours of mammography training; 25 mammography exams under direct supervision of MQSA-qualified individual

Pay Range: $34.00 – $57.00 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
