The Practice Manager of Orthopaedic Pain Management at Loyola University Medical Center reports to a regional director or executive director and is responsible for all daily operations of their assigned clinical locations, including management of front‑line non‑exempt staff, ensuring appropriate clinical operations, adherence to budgets and regulatory standards, the patient experience (quality, safety, and satisfaction), and the experience of physicians and staff.
The Practice Manager constantly assesses daily operations to identify areas for ongoing improvement and oversees the implementation of improvement initiatives alongside the site medical director(s) at the direction of the regional director or executive director.

The Practice Manager supervises all front‑line, non‑exempt staff in assigned clinical locations and oversees human resource functions including recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, and termination. The Practice Manager also recruits, interviews, and selects staff in collaboration with Human Resources, ensuring staffing guidelines and standards are maintained. - Daily Clinical Operations
:
Responsible for managing all daily operations of assigned practice sites, routinely measuring and monitoring assigned areas of responsibility to maximize efficiency. The Practice Manager provides communication to physicians and staff to establish collaborative communication and an understanding of organizational strategic goals and initiatives, and oversees the implementation of organizational initiatives across all assigned practice sites. - Financial Sustainability
:
Responsible for the operational budget of assigned practice sites, managing revenue, expenses, and capital equipment to meet current and projected patient volume or service requirements within a financially sustainable manner. - Regulatory Compliance
:
Ensures all practices and workflows are adherent to all required regulatory standards (TJC, IDPH, etc.). - Patient Experience
:
Fosters positive team collaboration and staff development to facilitate achievement of patient quality, safety, satisfaction, and customer service excellence goals.
- Bachelor’s degree;
Master's degree preferred. - Minimum 2 years of healthcare job‑related experience; 3–5 years preferred.
- Experience working within a clinical environment required and prior experience in the outpatient setting preferred.
- Prior experience in academic medical centers preferred.
- People management experience preferred but not required.
- Valid Illinois State Driver’s License.
Pay range: $84,156 – $134,659
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
