About the RoleAs Assistant Manager – Breast Imaging (Mammo), you will manage and implement inpatient and outpatient clinical services within the Department of Radiology. You will operate in a technical capacity for one or more imaging modalities, ensure competency of departmental services and technical staff, facilitate imaging services schedules, and evaluate and maintain appropriate staffing levels. You will also oversee training for staff and student technologists and be responsible for daily operations, staffing, and workflow.
Key Responsibilities- Support the manager in performance management, scheduling, daily operations, hiring, performance feedback, annual competency evaluations, and other managerial functions.
- Participate in planning and implementation of departmental objectives and goals, fostering teamwork, patient care, and staff development/retention.
- Oversee employee schedules, time records/requests, ensuring compliance with hospital and departmental protocols.
- Enhance employee engagement and success within the Medical Imaging Department.
- Contribute to budgetary goals, evaluate staffing levels, and adjust reporting as needed.
- Perform procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines to provide physicians with high‑quality diagnostic information.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Associate's degree or equivalent training via work experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in a related role.
- May require on‑call, weekend, holiday, and emergency coverage as departmental needs warrant.
- Radiologic Technology – Mammo (specific degree).
- Ability to function as a "working manager."
- Strong distinction between types of medical procedures and diagnoses.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and decision‑making skills.
- Assist in training student technologists rotating through the department.
- Travel to off‑site locations as needed.
- 3–5 years of management or lead experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with UKG scheduling or equivalent.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) program.
- ARRT (M) licensure.
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from the American Heart Association.
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA).
- EPIC, PAC experience or equivalent.
- Intermediate Excel proficiency (proficiency testing may be required).

Annual Salary Range: $84,150 – $135,000 (actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, location, licensure, and certification).
