** About the job*
* In this role, the Phlebotomist uses approved techniques to  _collect quality biological samples for laboratory testing from all patient populations (pediatric through geriatric); and performs electrocardiograms (EKG's) for cardiology interpretation,_  all while focusing on the needs of the patient and exemplifying the service excellence goals of care, concern, respect and cooperation.

* + High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

+ Less than 1 years of phlebotomy work experience is required

** Licensure/Certification s*
* ** Preferred:*
* + CPR.  American Heart Association (AHA) ONLY.

** Phlebotomy certification**  - Certifying agencies: ASPT - American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians, NCCT
- National Center for Competency Testing, NHA
- National Healthcare Association (CPT), NPA
- National Phlebotomy Association

** 1-3 years of phlebotomy work experience*
