Role Description The Security Camera Tech is a Consultant. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the security camera and related safety systems at Tender Care
- Early Learning Center. Day-to-day tasks include configuring, and testing security cameras, , and related hardware; performing routine inspections to ensure systems are operational; and diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly. The role also involves monitoring system performance, coordinating with management to improve coverage. The Security Camera Tech works closely with center leadership to support a safe environment for children, staff, and visitors by ensuring reliable surveillance and security infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and maintenance of security camera systems and related hardware.
• Knowledge of Axis Camera cybersecurity and network security principles relevant to protecting surveillance systems and data.
• Experience with alarm systems and other physical security technologies used in education or childcare settings.
• Awareness of occupational health and safety standards, with the ability to work safely with electrical and low-voltage systems.
• Previous experience in security systems installation, IT support, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with non-technical staff and explain system use and basic troubleshooting steps.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications in security systems, networking, or electronics are a plus.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work on-site in Maywood, IL, including occasional after-hours support as needed.
