Surgical Scrub Technician

McAlester, OK | $27–$29/hour | 32 Hours/Week

Must be willing to drive to the Muskogee clinic once a week.

A surgical facility in McAlester is seeking an experienced and dependable Surgical Scrub Technician to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled Surgical Tech looking for a consistent four-day workweek and a strong work-life balance.

Schedule 8:00 AM–5:00 PM32 hours per week

Pay $27–$29/hour, depending on experience

The Surgical Scrub Technician will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and well‑organized surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and operating room procedures and will be comfortable working as part of a collaborative surgical team.

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Set up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies according to the procedure being performed.
• Maintain strict sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures.
• Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgeon as needed.
• Assist with accurate counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and other supplies.
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures.
• Properly handle, clean, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an organized and adequately stocked operating room.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, anesthesia personnel, and other members of the surgical team.
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.

• Previous experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician/Surgical Technologist required.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced surgical environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, professional, and committed to patient safety.
