SLPA - Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Implement programs or activities as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Assist SLP with screenings, assessments, and treatment of patients
• Complete documentation related to patient care
• Communicate with patients, their families, physicians, and staff
• Assist in the general operation of the department
• Assist with development of programs

The company is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (or related field) with SLPA coursework
• At least 100 hours of supervised clinical experience under a licensed SLP
• Ability to work under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed SLP
• Willingness to apply for licensure through the Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (OBESPA), including submission of transcripts, verification of clinical hours, and payment of fees
