About the Role:
The Clinical Analyst plays a critical role in supporting patient care through the design, implementation, integration, and ongoing maintenance of clinical information systems s position works closely with clinical, technical, and operational teams to ensure third-party applications interface effectively with MRHC systems. The Clinical Analyst supports clinical reporting, interface development, workflow optimization, and training while serving as a key liaison between IT and clinical departments including Nursing, Pharmacy, Quality, and Medical Staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience or 1-3 years of experience working with clinical information systems
- Experience working with clinical information systems, including JavaScript or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, patient care processes, and healthcare information technology standards.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Previous experience in a healthcare management or clinical analyst role within a hospital or large healthcare system.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Coordinate and support clinical information systems related to patient care.
- Design, implement, and maintain clinical software interfaces and reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with IT, clinical leadership, Pharmacy, Quality, and ancillary departments to optimize workflows.
- Support system upgrades, new implementations, and ongoing maintenance efforts.
- Develop and maintain documentation, policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Serve as a technical resource for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinical staff.
- Identify system issues, recommend improvements, and ensure timely project completion.
Strong knowledge of clinical information systems and workflows, including Meditech Client Server environments; experience with HL7 interfaces, JavaScript, Mirth Interface Engine, and Microsoft SQL/SSRS; strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills; effective project management and time management abilities; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across clinical, technical, and operational teams; experience developing documentation, reports, and training materials; and a strong commitment to customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
