Available Full-Time Shifts
  • Monday-Friday 2:00 PM-10:00 PM
  • Weekend Doubles:
    Saturday and Sunday 6:00 AM-10:00 PM

Essential Functions of Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
  • Performs resident care responsibilities in a manner conducive to safety and comfort, consistent with company policies and procedures and state/federal guidelines and regulations
  • Administers medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal regulations and center policy
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration
  • Administers and records all medications given to residents based on their specific chart
  • Notifies appropriate licensed staff when a resident complains of pain
  • May take and record vital signs of residents as assigned or as required by certain medications
  • Records administration of medications and/or treatments in the computer system as needed
  • Answers resident call lights, anticipates residents’ needs, and makes rounds to assigned residents under supervision of a licensed nurse or charge nurse on the shift
  • Observes for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift
  • Performs all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
  • Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality
  • Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and center policy
  • Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of residents and unusual incidents to appropriate staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications of CMA
  • High School diploma or general equivalency is preferred
  • Six months experience in a long-term care environment is preferred
  • Required valid CMA certification in the state of Oklahoma
  • Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication
  • Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their family members, and facility staff
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Additional languages preferred
