Position: Information Technology Specialist (Security) with Security Clearance
Duties
* Install, configure and upgrade variety of network appliances and applications such as firewalls, intrusion detection and protection systems, wireless intrusions detection system, web filtering devices, and other similar devices as necessary.
* Provide guidance and assistance in developing policy and operational procedures to enhance the security posture of McAlester Army Ammunition Plant systems and data.
* Enforce existing regulations and directives.
* Perform staff assignments related to program planning, monitoring, and/or coordination of the systems life cycle function.
* Perform analysis to determine root cause of vulnerabilities and best methodology to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
* Collect audit and usage data and prepare reports for senior management. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
* This position may require occasional TDY business travel.
* This position requires IA Technical Level I certification be attained within 6 months of assignment to the position and maintained thereafter.
* Per DoDM 8140.03, must maintain cyber role requirements:
1) Foundational qual (within 9 months),
2) Resident qual (within 12 months), and
3) 20 hours annual CPD (Continuous Professional Development) per role. Excludes Data, AI, and SW Engineering.
