Accountant II/III
SummaryApplies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and related documents by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties- Compiles and analyzes inventories, COGS (sales basis), and manufacturing costs.
- Reconcile inventories from sub-ledger to G/L, including preparing proper journal entries.
- Review inventory sub-ledgers.
- Understand and analysis system linkage, as we use 2 independent system, GMS (inventories) and ORACLE (financial accounting).
- Understand procedures and controls over inventories and report to management any missing or deficiencies in controls.
- Communicate with other departments to figure out issues over inventories.
- Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and write narrative report.
- Reconcile and assess inventory reserves.
- Conduct studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation.

Qualifications- BS (Accounting) degree
- Minimum 5-year experience at accounting industry
- Experience at manufacturing companies is plus
- Understand the concept of BS and IS
- Advanced or intermediate excel skill.
- Logical thinking.
- Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
This position requires travel to our manufacturing plant in Reynosa Mexico, one to two times a week; company-provided secure transportation is included.

Skills & Abilities- Automobile industry experience (desired)
- Knowledge and Experience of unique transactions in automobile industry (such as ASN and EDI) is big plus.
- Proactive, detail oriented and hands-on attitude desired
- Capability to notice the detail desired.
- Spreadsheets (MS Excel).
- Databases (MS Access) – intermediate or more is a plus.
- Word Processing (MS Word) – intermediate or more is a plus.
- A fluent in English (verbal and writing)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as IRS code, USGAAP, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Math AbilityAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
