Job SummaryThe Mortgage Servicing Administrative assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient administrative operations for the Mortgage Servicing department.
Essential duties include mailing mortgage servicing correspondence to borrowers, recording and distributing all incoming mail, providing secretarial and administrative support, calling borrowers to collect proof on insurance and taxes, greeting customers for loan renewals, loan modifications, and payment deferrals, collecting information from borrowers applying in person, typing agendas for meetings, preparing reports for mortgage servicing meetings, compiling and maintaining a telephone directory, filing correspondence, ordering and keeping inventory of supplies, providing receptionist services, participating in job specific training and bank training programs, maintaining knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, complying with federal and state laws and regulations, maintaining knowledge of BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML rules, and maintaining current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or G.E.D and 6-12 months of experience in an office environment, ability to organize and prioritize work, respect, honesty, trust, and diplomacy, extensive personal contact with others, knowledge of office administration and telephone etiquette, ability to maintain accuracy in preparing and entering information, knowledge of loan collection laws and regulations preferred, skills including typing 40 wpm, proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office Software, ability to develop customer relations, excellent time management, oral and written communication, team building, problem solving, decision making, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, cultural awareness and sensitivity, ability to work flexible hours, sound work ethics, and bilingual in English and Spanish is desired.
This position reports to the Mortgage Servicing Manager and does not oversee other positions.
