McAllen, TX | Full Time

• Produces content daily for live newscasts and pre‑recorded newscasts where applicable.
• Researches, investigates, writes, produces, and anchors general news or special news assignments recorded and/or live from the studio/field.
• Produces newscast rundowns.
• Works closely with Assignments Editor, Producers, MMJs and all other staff to ensure all stories are updated and fact‑checked.
• Creates original content and stories for daily newscasts when applicable.
• Attends and participates in off‑site company‑sponsored and community events as assigned by station management.

• Produces weather graphics and analyzes data from the National Weather Service as well as other meteorological sources.
• Creates complete coverage of weather stories.
• Prepares and posts forecasts for multiple platforms.
• Spearheads special weather coverage during severe weather events.

• Fluency in both Spanish & English is a must.

• Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Weather Forecaster/Meteorologist.
• Must have experience with severe weather forecasting.

This is a full‑time position. Actual schedule and hours may vary.

Reports directly to VP of News Operations.
