McAllen, TX | Part Time

The NOC Master Control Operator is responsible for the successful operations and monitoring of all television stations owned by Entravision Communications. This at‑location role verifies correct programming and scheduled station breaks as logged, ensuring that programming airs on schedule. The position is based at our Hub in McAllen, TX. Entravision will provide training for this entry‑level opening and offers many career opportunities within the company.

• Update and maintain signal control systems through our automation systems.
• Assure that segments for syndication content and clips to the server are correct and confirmed.
• Print timing sheets from Univision, NBC and Fox stations and ensure proper appending of next day logs to the Bit Central Automation System.
• Monitor the reliability of incoming and outgoing signals and report equipment problems to engineering and IT teams.
• Route resources from which programming will be received, or through which programming will be transmitted to multiple sources using a Utah Scientific Router.
• Work with our News Hubs to ensure newscasts air without issue.
• Confirm content with our traffic and production teams in all markets across the country.
• Maintain clear and accurate discrepancy records for SOX compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong PC and MS Office experience.
• Previous experience in broadcasting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work‑related experience is preferred.
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Minimum three years’ experience with digital automation systems in a television broadcasting environment (more or less depending on market size) is preferred.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, and other office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Position type and expected hours:
This is a part‑time position. Actual schedule and hours may vary.

Supervisory responsibility:
Reports directly to Network Operations Center Supervisor.
