McAllen, TX | Full Time

• Produces content daily for live newscasts and pre-recorded newscasts where applicable.
• Researches, investigates, writes, produces, and anchors general news or special news assignments-recorded and/or live from the studio/field.
• Produces newscasts rundowns.
• Works closely with Assignments Editor, Producers, MMJs and all other staff to ensure all stories are updated and fact checked.
• Ability to create original content and stories for daily newscasts when applicable.
• Attends and participates in off-site company-sponsored and community events as assigned by station management.

• Produce weather graphics and analyze data from the National Weather Service as well as other meteorological sources.
• Create complete coverage of weather stories.
• Prepare and post forecasts for multiple platforms.
• Spearhead special weather coverage during severe weather events

• Fluency in both Spanish & English is a must

• Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 2 years’ experience as Weather Forecaster/Meteorologist.
• Must have experience with severe weather forecasting.

This is a Full Time position. Actual schedule and hours may vary.
