Position Overview
The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking a full‑time, academic professional track (non‑tenure) position at the rank of Lecturer. The position is a 9‑month full‑time appointment with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026 for the 2026‑2027 academic year and the possibility of renewal thereafter.
Teaching Responsibilities- Instruction of undergraduate general chemistry and organic chemistry courses, including lecture and laboratory sessions.
- Design and deliver instruction for instructional laboratories and oversee lab operations, with support from laboratory technicians.
- Collaborate with faculty across the McAllen and College Station campuses to support curricular alignment and student success.
- A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate chemistry education and student mentoring.
- Experience or enthusiasm for a teaching‑focused, student‑centered environment.
