2026-27 Part-Time After School Dance Coach/Instructor

PRIMARY

PURPOSE:

The appointed candidate will coach the UIL dance program offered by the McAllen ISD Fine Arts Department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education/Certification:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate's Degree or a minimum of 48 college hours (required)
• Special Knowledge/
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to work cooperatively with student athletes, coaching staff, teachers, administration and parents; must complete all UIL requirements for coaches (Rules Compliance Program, Professional Acknowledgement Form), hold First Aid and CPR certification, attend UIL Orientation Session and scheduled Concussion Training; knowledge of fitness and sports activities; ability to speak, read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
• Experience: Prior experience working with student athletes in sports and recreational activities is preferred.
• Working Days: Monday to Saturday (226) / Up to 19 hours per week.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Position Type: Part‑Time

Salary: $10.25 per hour
