Instructional Facilitator

The Elementary Instructional Facilitator serves as the instructional leader of the campus and supports the principal in ensuring high levels of student achievement through the implementation of a rigorous instructional program. The Instructional Facilitator provides leadership in curriculum, instruction, assessment, intervention, and professional learning while assisting with campus operations, staff supervision, and school improvement efforts. The position is designed to strengthen instructional practices, monitor academic progress, support teacher growth, and ensure the successful implementation of district and campus initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
  • Texas Principal Certificate preferred
  • Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) Appraiser and Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System (T-PESS) preferred or ability to obtain certification

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising and evaluating professional and paraprofessional staff as assigned

Tools/Equipment Used:
Standard office equipment including personal computer, printer, copier, calculator, and peripherals.

Posture:
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.

Motion:
Frequent keyboarding, repetitive hand motions, writing, and use of office equipment.

Lifting:
Occasional lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 20 pounds. May be required to assist with the physical restraint of students in accordance with district policy and training.

Environment:
Work inside and outside; exposure to temperature extremes, noise, and weather conditions. Occasional district and statewide travel. May work prolonged or irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. Mental Demands:
Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; interpret data; manage multiple priorities; meet deadlines; exercise sound judgment in decision-making situations.
