CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Planner II to join our Electric Distribution Team
, working in our Houston, TX office or remotely from home in McAllen/Harlingen, TX
. In this role, you ll leverage your expertise to design and plan utility projects, work with client GIS systems, and ensure projects meet construction standards and client specifications.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of overhead and underground electric distribution systems, as well as gas distribution systems and client GIS design systems
- Use data collected by Utility Specialists to develop designs according to client standards
- Collect data and assist in submitting permit applications for assigned projects
- Travel locally and occasionally out-of-area to review project progress and perform field duties
- Associate s degree or combination of High School Diploma and relevant work experience required;
Bachelor s degree preferred - Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Valid driver s license required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel, GIS, and Work Management Systems
- Willingness to learn client systems and applications
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Take on a pivotal role in utility infrastructure projects that impact communities.
- Collaborate with senior planners and utility specialists to deliver high-quality solutions.

Salary Range$28.00 - $30.00
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
