As a Pre-Sales Engineer at MDC, you will leverage technical expertise and a deep understanding of customer needs to support the sales process, driving business growth and customer satisfaction. This role is pivotal in translating customer requirements into innovative, scalable, and efficient data center solutions, ensuring our offerings stand out in a competitive market. By collaborating closely with the sales and engineering teams, this role will play a critical role in securing new business, enhancing customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success and reputation of MDC.

- Engage with prospective customers to understand their technical requirements and business needs.
- Provide expert advice on data center solutions, including infrastructure, networking, storage, and security.
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Sales teams to design tailored solutions that meet customer specifications.
- Develop and present detailed technical proposals, including architecture diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans.
- Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities to showcase the capabilities and advantages of our solutions.
- Address technical questions and concerns raised by potential customers.
- Assist in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) by providing technical input and ensuring accurate and comprehensive responses.
- Work closely with the Director of Engineering to align pre‑sales activities with overall engineering strategies and goals.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and product management, to ensure a seamless sales process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.
- Gather feedback from customers and provide input to the product development team to help refine and improve our offerings.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and competitive offerings.
- Conduct training sessions for sales and technical teams to enhance their knowledge of our products and solutions.
- Bilingual – English and Spanish required.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Systems Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Pre‑Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or a similar role in the data center industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, networking, storage, and security solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and enterprise IT environments is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
