Role DescriptionThe Commercial Banking Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in McAllen, TX. This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial clients by building strong relationships, understanding their financial needs, and recommending appropriate banking solutions. Daily activities include meeting with business clients, assessing credit and cash management needs, preparing and reviewing loan proposals, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
The Relationship Manager monitors account performance, identifies opportunities for cross-selling products and services, and supports clients with ongoing financial guidance. This role also involves participating in local business and community events to generate new leads and enhance the bank’s presence in the market.
- Candidates should possess strong Business Relationship Management skills, with the ability to develop, maintain, and grow commercial client relationships.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Cash Management, including knowledge of treasury services, deposits, and liquidity solutions for business clients.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to evaluate financial statements, assess creditworthiness, and structure appropriate banking solutions.
- Candidates should possess experience in Financial Services, preferably in commercial or business banking, with familiarity in lending, regulatory requirements, and risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
- Proven ability to meet sales and portfolio growth objectives while maintaining high service standards.
- Knowledge of the area and broader South Texas business community is beneficial.
