Floor Technician

Job  # of Openings: 1 ALFREDO GONZALEZ TEXAS STATE VETERANS HOME Shift Available: split shift 2 days 8a-5p and 2 days 2p-10p As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you’ll help keep our community safe, clean, and welcoming by:

• Following all global harmonization and SDS safety standards to ensure a secure work environment.
• Quickly identifying and reporting any equipment malfunctions to your supervisor.
• Noticing and reporting flooring issues or areas in poor repair.
• Using maintenance tools, floor‑care machines, and cleaning supplies efficiently and effectively to support an excellent customer experience.
• Participating in ongoing in‑service training to continue growing your maintenance skills.
• Performing all maintenance and floor‑care duties in alignment with Community policies and quality standards.
• Partnering with the Administrator and Director of Environment of Care to help manage and maintain all community flooring.
• Creating a safe environment during floor‑care tasks by properly using safety signs, chemicals, and liquids.
• Alerting the Director of Environment of Care to any equipment concerns that might lead to damage or safety hazards.
