Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technician
Location: McAllen, TX 78503
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Variable Start Time (7:00–8:00 AM) | 8-Hour Shifts
On-Call: Approximately one weekday per week and one weekend per month
Note: Candidate must reside 100 miles from the facility to qualify.
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The technician will assist physicians during invasive cardiac and vascular procedures, including structural heart, coronary, peripheral, and electrophysiology (EP) cases.
This role requires strong technical expertise in scrubbing and monitoring procedures, operating catheterization equipment, and assisting with imaging during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist physicians during cardiac catheterization, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures.
Perform scrub and monitoring duties using Cath Lab equipment and imaging systems.
Support diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures.
Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and sterile equipment.
Monitor patient status and ensure adherence to safety and procedural protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality.
Adapt to changing priorities and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced clinical environment.
RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RAD (Radiologic Technologist) – Required
BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience
Experience scrubbing and panning peripheral and diagnostic procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (AA, BA, BS, BSN)
OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
