Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for overall coordination of the credentialing application and verification process and support the function of the Medical Staff Department services.
Qualifications- Able to take minutes.
- Demonstrates computer literacy; knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, etc.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- High energy necessary, must be able to handle multi-tasks.
- Must be able and have transportation between facilities.
- Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
- High School diploma, GED required, Higher Education preferred.
- Minimum experience of five (5) years as executive/legal and two (2) of those years in a Medical Office in a hospital setting, Or
- Associates Degree or higher will be accepted with two (2) years executive and one (1) of those years with Medical Office experience.
- Medical Terminology, desired
- (CPCS) Certification Provider Credentialing Specialist Certification desired.
