Join our amazing team of healthcare providers. We have been in business for over 10 years. As we expand, we are looking for highly motivated Physical Therapist Assistants to join our team.
Job Title:
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide direct patient care. The PTA assists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, and overall function. The PTA monitors patient progress, documents treatments, and ensures a high level of patient care.
- Patient Assistance & Motivation:
Instruct, assist, and motivate patients during exercises and activities while ensuring safety. - Documentation & Monitoring:
Document patient progress and observe responses to treatments, sharing findings with physical therapists. - Patient
Education:
Teach patients proper body mechanics and mobility techniques, such as aquatic exercises. - Equipment Use:
Secure patients into therapy equipment and train them on using supportive devices like braces or prostheses. - Collaboration:
Discuss patient progress with physical therapy staff and caregivers to plan or modify treatment. - Evaluation:
Measure patient range of motion, body parts, or vital signs to track treatment effects. - Professional Development:
Participate in continuing education and training activities. - Perform additional tasks as required.
- Associates Degree In Physical Therapist Assistant
- CPR Certification
- Drivers License (required)
- Recent work experience in Home Health (preferred)
- Understanding of customer service principles, including needs assessment, quality standards, and evaluating satisfaction.
- Familiarity with diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation methods for physical and mental dysfunctions.
- Knowledge of human behavior, individual differences, and psychological factors that affect treatment and motivation.
- Ability to empathize with patients and adapt treatments to their individual needs.
- Skilled in various techniques such as massage, stretching, and joint mobilization.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate, and collaborate to achieve therapy goals.
