Responsibilities
The role involves performing specimen procurement procedures such as venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks on patients of all ages across hospital and off-site facilities. The individual will organize and respond to incoming collection requests promptly, utilizing appropriate safety collection devices and maintaining supplies. Additional duties may be assigned outside the hospital environment as needed.
Qualifications- Minimum of 6 months' hospital setting experience preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited agency is preferred
- Strong commitment to compliance, adherence to policies, and reporting procedures
- Ability to travel between facilities with reliable transportation
