Job Description & How to Apply Below

Client is looking for an experienced Master Scheduler with direct IFS Cloud experience to strengthen planning discipline, schedule credibility, and supply-demand alignment.

Following Client's IFS Cloud implementation, this role ensures forecasts, customer demand, material availability, capacity assumptions, inventory, shop orders, purchase orders, distribution orders, and customer commitments align in one operating rhythm.

The Master Scheduler will convert demand, supply constraints, capacity, and business priorities into a realistic and executable master production schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Master scheduling and planning discipline

  • Own and maintain the master production schedule in IFS Cloud.
  • Translate forecast, customer demand, inventory position, material availability, labor capacity, and production constraints into a realistic manufacturing plan.
  • Maintain clear planning horizons, review cadences, and schedule freeze / flexibility rules where appropriate.
  • Establish a disciplined weekly and monthly planning rhythm across supply chain, operations, purchasing, customer service, and sales.
  • Use IFS Cloud to manage MRP, master scheduling, planning exceptions, supply-demand alignment, and production schedule visibility.
  • Monitor and act on MRP action messages, supply exceptions, past‑due orders, and planning conflicts.
  • Improve planning data, including lead times, lot sizes, calendars, work centers, routings, planning parameters, and capacity assumptions.
  • Partner with IT and business systems resources to identify configuration, data, or process issues affecting planning accuracy.
  • Ensure IFS planning signals are understood, trusted, and acted on by the business.

Capacity and material constraint management

  • Partner with operations to understand labor, equipment, work center, and production capacity constraints.
  • Identify scheduled hours above capacity and material constraints before they disrupt production.
  • Support the implementation and maturity of capacity planning processes in IFS Cloud.
  • Diagnose whether scheduling issues are driven by demand, material, labor, capacity, routing, inventory, supplier performance, or data integrity.

Schedule governance and cross‑functional alignment

  • Facilitate recurring schedule review meetings with operations, purchasing, customer service, supply chain, and other stakeholders.
  • Align purchase order dates, shop order dates, distribution orders, customer commitments, and production priorities.
  • Reduce schedule noise caused by stale dates, unrealistic promises, unmaintained planning data, and unmanaged exceptions.
  • Escalate trade‑offs between customer priorities, production efficiency, inventory, supplier constraints, and capacity.

Performance management and continuous improvement

  • Maintain planning metrics such as schedule adherence, past‑due shop orders, past‑due purchase orders, shortage visibility, capacity overloads, customer order risk, and expedited freight drivers.
  • Help reduce firefighting and improve planning stability.
  • Train and support users who interact with IFS planning outputs, including planners, buyers, supervisors, and customer‑facing teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Client's planning operating model.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands‑on IFS Cloud experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in master scheduling, production planning, supply planning, materials planning, or manufacturing planning.
  • Strong understanding of MRP, master production scheduling, shop orders, purchase order alignment, inventory planning, lead times, and capacity constraints.
  • Manufacturing experience involving supply, production, labor, and customer service trade‑offs.
  • Ability to analyze complex planning problems and determine the next practical actions.
  • Strong communication skills with operations, purchasing, customer service, sales, finance, IT, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to create structure, drive follow‑through, and improve planning discipline.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in automotive, heavy truck, industrial manufacturing, or multi‑site manufacturing.
  • Experience with mixed make‑to‑stock and make‑to‑order environments.
  • Experience with S&OP, S&OE, rough‑cut capacity planning, finite or constraint‑based planning, and production control.
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent planning certification.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, or ERP reporting tools.
