In Bond Clerk
Our client, a leading logistics provider, is seeking for an In Bond Clerk to join their team. As an In Bond Clerk you will be part of the shipping and receiving operations supporting efficient material handling. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work well in a team environment, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location:
Mcallen, TX
Pay Range: $15–$16 per hour (depending on experience) Monday-Friday 10AM-7:00PM or 11:
AM-8:
PM some Saturdays
What's the Job?
- Process and monitor in-bond shipments (IT, IE, T&E, 7512 transactions)
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of required documentation (HAWB, invoice, consignee details, etc.)
- Submit in-bond requests and coordinate with brokerage teams and control tower for processing
- Verify shipment data, including consignee name/address and shipment details before submission
- Track in-bond shipments and ensure compliance with Customs timelines and regulations (e.g., bonded cargo holding limits and status updates)
- Communicate with internal teams (warehouse, traffic, brokerage) to ensure timely movement and release of shipments
- Maintain accurate records of in-bond numbers, filings, and shipment status
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or delays related to in-bond processing
- Support reporting and operational follow-up as required
What's Needed?
- Experience in Customs, logistics, or freight forwarding operations
- Knowledge of in-bond processes (7512) preferred
- Familiarity with U.S. Customs requirements and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams
- Experience with systems such as Cargo Wise or similar platforms is a plus
