In-Bond Clerk (Customs Operations)

The In-Bond Clerk is responsible for processing and monitoring in-bond shipments, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and DHL operational requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the timely movement of freight while ensuring customs compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and monitor in-bond shipments, including IT, IE, T&E, and CBP Form 7512 transactions.
• Review shipment documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate in-bond requests with brokerage teams, control towers, and operations personnel.
• Verify consignee information, shipment details, and supporting documentation prior to submission.
• Track in-bond movements and ensure compliance with Customs regulations and transit deadlines.
• Communicate with warehouse, transportation, brokerage, and customer service teams to facilitate shipment movement.
• Maintain accurate records of in-bond filings and shipment statuses.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, delays, or compliance issues.
• Prepare operational reports and support management as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Customs brokerage, logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation operations.
• Knowledge of in-bond processing and CBP Form 7512 procedures preferred.
• Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and documentation requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using Cargo Wise or similar transportation management systems is a plus.
