Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Executes company and facility environmental services programs and procedures by training, supervising and motivating the environmental services personnel to ensure all tasks are completed and schedules are met.
- Perform all environmental services related tasks demonstrating service orientation to fellow employees, client staff and customers.
- Work closely with and motivate environmental services staff to ensure work is performed properly and that personnel are following schedules (duty lists).
- Recommend work schedules (duty lists) for all assigned areas to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct training sessions with environmental services personnel regularly (as assigned by the Assistant Account Operations Manager or Account Operations Manager).
- Monitor and inspect equipment daily to ensure it is maintained in a clean condition and in good repair.
- Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the Manager.
- Perform administrative functions as needed and requested.
- Prepare daily inspection reports addressing activities, projects and Quality Management assignments.
- Maintain good public relations with all patients, residents and staff personnel.
- Participate in client activities and special events.
- Track supply inventory, report supply usage and order needed supplies.
- Ensure that the cleaning and linen staff maintains a high standard of personal appearance.
- Observe cleaning and maintenance needs throughout hospital and submit written project requests.
- Interview and recommend applicants for positions in the department.
- Counsel employees and recommend termination when necessary.
