JAS is an international, non‑asset‑based supply chain services and solutions company that offers air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, and other supply chain management services.

Summary

The Branch Manager oversees and manages all end‑to‑end processes and operations within the branch location. The role ensures compliance with all laws and regulations, delivers excellent customer service, manages on‑site staff, optimizes productivity, drives business growth, and monitors financial matters.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Exceed customer expectations by providing the highest possible service quality.
  • Optimize branch transactions to increase sales and reduce costs.
  • Manage staffing productivity and utilize resources effectively.
  • Drive strong growth in the designated geographical area and maximize business potential.
  • Maintain ISO policies and standards, and comply with local law.
  • Oversee P&L, including accounting, financial controlling, and strategic planning.
  • Prepare the annual local budget, including investments and staffing needs.
  • Develop and expand customer relationships in partnership with sales.
  • Implement and maintain standardized processes, structures, and systems per corporate guidelines.
  • Handle all personnel and HR matters, including training, planning, and performance management, in coordination with HR.
  • Enforce the company’s Code of Conduct and ensure employee adherence.
  • Accompany sales calls as required.
  • Manage financial operations: AR (Accounts Receivable), AP (Accounts Payable), and FSL (Forward Stocking Location).
  • Supervise up to 50 employees directly or indirectly.
Qualifications
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and drive execution.
  • Proven leadership and people‑management experience: recruitment, training, development, coaching, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both open and confidential settings.
  • Strong decision‑making skills with high accountability and ownership.
  • Results‑driven, customer‑focused mindset.
  • Collaborative cross‑functional coordination across teams and organizational boundaries.
  • Alignment with JAS corporate values and role modeling.
  • Highly organized with strong time‑management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
  • Self‑motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L.
  • Experience across air, ocean, and supply‑chain/logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of market dynamics, competitors, trends, and challenges within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Experience with Cargo Wise is a plus.
  • International language skills are a plus.
Work Environment

100% of the work is performed in a climate‑controlled internal office environment under normal office conditions. Travel up to 20% may be required. Job duties include sitting, standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
