Job Description Summary
Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line, including Service Shops. The role has autonomy in execution within an operating discipline, with guidance on judgment and standard functional practices.
Site OverviewThe GE Aerospace facility in McAllen specializes in repairing engine components for commercial and military aircraft, including LPT and HPT nozzles and HPT hangars. It features state‑of‑the‑art technologies in CNC, EDM, coating, and advanced development in the Tech Lab.
Role OverviewAs a Manufacturing Supervisor you will oversee and manage front‑line manufacturing employees, primarily on‑site, developing deep technical knowledge and executing policy and strategy.
- Oversee and manage front‑line manufacturing employees
- Develop in‑depth knowledge of a technical discipline
- Use prior experience and technical expertise to execute policy/strategy
- Understand key business drivers to accomplish work
- Integrate your team’s work with other teams and contribute to the area
- Use judgment to propose solutions outside of set parameters with guidance
- Solve straightforward tasks using prior experience and on‑the‑job training
- Apply technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems
- Provide informal guidance to new team members

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in Operations/Supply Chain Management
- Previous production supervision experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management or Engineering
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Full‑time position with standard business hours
- Background and drug screening required
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment
- This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information; acceptance contingent upon proof of U.S. Person status (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee or refugee).
