Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a TX or compact RN license and expertise in electrophysiology studies.

• Position is in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab
• Performs emergency and elective angioplasty, electrophysiology studies, drug-eluting stents, and pacemaker implantation
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 8-hour day shifts
• No local candidates accepted; candidates must live at least 100 miles away
• Duties include performing a range of cardiac catheterization procedures and providing patient care in accordance with clinical licensure and certification
• Expected to help educate and support staff in the Cath Lab
• References from two managers or supervisors are preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
• SSN, driver's license, and proof of COVID and flu vaccination are required for consideration
• Only candidates with a valid U.S. Social Security Number will be considered

• Active TX or compact RN license required; no pending licenses accepted
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• Minimum of two years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience in a U.S. hospital required
• Minimum of one year monitoring diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology studies required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications from the American Heart Association required
• CPI certification is mandated
• Recent acute care experience required
• BSN is highly desired
• Working knowledge of micropace helpful
