Overview

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in McAllen, Texas.

• Delivers patient care in accordance with current licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements to meet the needs of patients, families, and the community.
• Willingness to help educate facility staff is a key expectation of this role.

• Active TX or compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• CPI certification required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired
• Minimum 2 years of prior US hospital experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab specialty required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in monitoring, diagnostic, and therapeutic electrophysiology studies required
• Recent acute care experience required
• Familiarity with Micropace is helpful
• US SSN required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying most recent experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Cath lab team performs emergency and elective angioplasty and provides therapies such as drug-eluting stents, electrophysiology, and pacemaker implantation
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• On-call is required
• 13-week contract

• Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
• All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
